    Thanks for stopping by sweetfrenchtoast!

I'm Sabrina, and I love to make pretty things, visit inspiring places, eat really good food, and take lots of photos along the way. Though I live with my husband in Atlanta, GA, I consider the world my home, and I can't wait to see more of it.

handmade: denim foldover clutch

I’ve started sewing! I look forward to sharing some of the details of my sewing journey with you, but for now, here’s my latest completed project: a super-cute denim foldover clutch!

I used this pattern from {lbg studio}, some remnant denim I bought at the beehive’s most recent warehouse sale, some fusible interfacing I already had, and new lightweight quilting cotton, animal print home decor fabric, a 9″ “fashion” zipper, and brown thread that I purchased at Jo-Ann.

I highly recommend the pattern! It came together very quickly and has a really fine finish.

I absolutely love it! And I can’t wait to make another one. I already have a few modifications planned, like adding a zippered internal pocket, an outside pocket for my phone, and a removable crossbody strap.

Now that I’ve started sewing, I’m finding it difficult to shop at traditional retailers. I find myself thinking “I could make that for way less, and it would look way nicer!” Any other new sewists out there have a similar experience? 🙂
