    Thanks for stopping by sweetfrenchtoast!

I'm Sabrina, and I love to make pretty things, visit inspiring places, and eat really good food. Whether I'm sewing a new dress, baking a fresh twist on a classic dessert, or visiting a far-flung destination, I'll share it all with you right here on my sweet little blog. Enjoy!

it’s only wednesday?

It feels like it should be Friday already.

But I have my final walkthrough tomorrow (Thursday…today…it’s after midnight….whatever)–so here’s hoping they’ve taken care of everything from my initial walkthrough.

Then my closing is set for Friday…yay! I still need them to tell me how much money to bring so I can go get a cashier’s check. For some reason I am all sketched out about having to go get a cashier’s check for such a large sum of money…it seems like there would be an easier, safer, less hassle way of doing it.

I found out this week that I can’t get my furniture delivered until February 7. It sucks! So I’m going to try to take advantage of the time to move small stuff from Mom’s house, paint some of the rooms, get window coverings and elfa closet stuff installed, etc. Is it weird that I am already thinking about my housewarming party? I am an entertainer at heart and I can’t wait to have friends and neighbors over.

Speaking of neighbors, I met up with several folks from work tonight. It was my first time socializing with my new work crowd, and it was all people who live in the same neighborhood I’m moving to. It was a lot of fun getting to know everyone on a more personal level, and it really solidifies the fact that I think I made the right decision by choosing to work there. One of the newest people at work (there are lots of us newbies…we’re growing so fast!)–she’s super-cool and I’m so glad I get to work on two projects with her. And I just can’t believe that so many people live in the same two-mile radius…I mean, my company isn’t that big so it is a tad unusual, I think. But hey, it means more people to call when my car breaks down! (Kidding! Kinda….)

Anyway, I’m beat! I literally was in meetings from 11 a.m. until 7:15 p.m. with about 45 minutes of breaks in there. And it wasn’t an all-day work session…it was lots of different little meetings. Craziness. I think that’s another reason why I feel like it should be Friday.

Zzzzzzz…going to sleep. Can’t wait till Friday and my closing…woo hooooo!!
