They sell temporary blinds at HD and Lowes, either just cheap paper ones, or nicer plastic/vinyl ones that block enough light that you can sleep. You have to cut them to size, but for us at least, we spent less than 200 on the temporary ones, until we have the dough to do the real thing. We expect to spend $5k-$7k on windows coverings.
