headed home

I’m at the hotel in Vancouver getting ready to head home today. :(

This was the last photo of the trip, taken yesterday after my last run at Whistler. Then my camera broke! So no photos from our miserable five-hour bus ride to Vancouver (the usual trip is only 2.5 hours, but the weather was so bad), the great dinner LS and I had last night, or the trip back today.

It’s been a great vacation though…I had so much fun! I snowboarded a lot, ate a whole lot, and took a ton of pictures. Full report to come. Happy New Year!

January 4, 2007 - 10:03 pm Leo the 3rd - You mean the new 800IS died? That bites. Well hopefully you got some shots that were worthwhile. And it's still under warranty.

January 5, 2007 - 12:20 am me - I didn't really get any action shots, Craig. Of course, that makes me very sad. I guess I'll just have to go again this season! :) And leo, the 800IS did indeed die. However, I replaced it on my lunch break today. I was still under the extended holiday return period so I just swapped it out. I also got the service plan that will cover any damage over the next four years...even if I drop it! I figured if the lens stuck once, something else could happen in 48 months, you know?

January 5, 2007 - 6:33 am Leo the 3rd - Wise lady. Sometimes those extended warranties do come in handy. Glad it was an easy swap out. It's a great pocketable camera and I'll have to give it a look since I am now A80-less.
