I got these jeans today.
Aren’t they cute?
While we’re on the topic of shopping (which, by the way, I’m really not that into unless I need something specific) — I must confess that I have developed a rather foolish attraction to Celine handbags. I have been enthralled by so many of them lately. I spotted a photo of a handbag in a magazine and was instantly in love with it…it turned out to be a Celine. I was browsing at Bloomingdale’s and plucked a super-cute bag from a shelf…it too was a Celine. Unfortunately, their bags typically run about $1,400 a pop, and I’m just not into spending that kind of money on a fashion accessory. But man, are they gorgeous. Sigh. Now I know what my first frivolous expenditure will be when I win the lottery.
So it’s already almost Thanksgiving…wow! This week has been a little crazy. I’ve got a ton to do at work before my last day, which is Tuesday. And I lose two days this week to the holiday. On top of that, there’s been a lot to do for my mom’s benefits — we’re trying to get her Social Security benefits approved and rollover some funds from my dad’s retirement account, and an error on the processing center’s part has made that a little stressful. Oh, and I’ve also been trying to have something called a personal life, too.
I went to see Casino Royale on Friday night and actually really enjoyed it. I haven’t seen any of the recent Bond flicks and was pleasantly surprised at how the complexities of the plot were so neatly intertwined. At first I thought that Clive Owen should have been the new James Bond, but Daniel Craig did a very good job. I kinda liked how he wasn’t so pretty…he looked like he had been roughed up a bit in his lifetime. And Vesper Lynd was just beautiful, of course, but in a smart, respectable way.
I actually saw two movies this weekend. I saw Little Children on Sunday, and it was really good. Disturbing, but good. I am now left wondering when Patrick Wilson will realize that he’s supposed to be married to me. My gosh…he is perfection.
Okay, I think I’m going to go dream of my future husband and our perfect little children. Woops…did I just say “little children”??
Yeah, I’m slightly delirious. So glad I’ll have a few days off to rest up and relax!
