flat tire fiasco

Tagged

What a way to start a Monday!

At least I got the flat near a gas station before I got on the highway. Now I’m waiting for one of the service attendants to help me put my spare on. Actually, I’m waiting for him to just put it on…I’m not really going to be helping much. :P

Grrrr…this sucks. Hopefully my tire can be repaired. I would hate to have to buy a new one (or two new ones), especially since I’m just now due for the $500 car service that includes replacing the timing belt.

Oh well…hopefully this means I’ve got some good fortune headed my way soon!

Of the several times I’ve run out of gas, the best time was when I, like you and your flat tire, was only a few yards from a gas station. The problem was that as I was coasting (and cursing) into the Citgo parking lot I was met with a speed bump at the entrace, and I didn’t have enough momentum to get over it. I even tried that age-old trick of rocking back and forth in the drivers seat the same way a toddler does when a carnival ride comes to an end. Pathetic. So close yet so far. I finally resorted to getting out, pushing the car over the hump and hopping back in. Sadly enough, this was not the last time I drove the Chevy to levy ’til the levy was dry. Not even close to last.

The timing belt is $45.00 Go to an independant shop that WILL NOT rip you off like the DEALER. The dealer is a snake in the grass. DO NOT USE THEM!

Dude, chill out. I am getting my service done at an independent shop.
