Did you know that regular postage is going up to 39 cents on January 8? I feel like I’ve never been caught by surprise by a postal rate increase before, but I had no idea about this one until I got a notice from my postage meter company.
Sneaky USPS. Bad USPS!
Anyway, not much to update here. I am feeling a lot better — thanks for all your well wishes! I also had another flattering age incident…I went to Dave and Busters and the door guy did a double-take after checking my ID and exclaimed “that’s a fake ID!”
NYE was quiet…I didn’t get to shoot off any fireworks but maybe I will next year. Oh…speaking of NYE next year…I have snagged a room at the Hilton Whistler Spa & Resort for six nights beginning December 26, 2006 — through NYE! The best part of it is that I’m using my hotel points, so I’m getting what is normally a $599/night room for nothing. Goooooooooo, points!
Okay, back to work. It’s my first day back after being out for 10 days and I have lots of catching up to do!
