My friend Wendy is stuck in Houston…they couldn’t evacuate because of the horrible traffic. So she and her husband are sticking it out at her in-laws’ house. And my aunt lives in Nacogdoches, the east Texas town that got its 15 minutes of fame when chunks of the exploded space shuttle landed there. According to the Rita maps I can find, it looks like that part of Texas is going to get hammered. But I just got off the phone with my aunt and she says they are evacuating coastal people there and they are hearing that they are safe. I dunno…I just want everybody to be okay.
So I’m hoping for the best.
