I just learned about the murder of someone I know. He’s the second person I know who has died in the past month or so. The week I learned of the first death, a coworker’s old friend was killed in Peru. I’m a little shaken. I don’t know what’s going on. But it’s not good.
Three people I know have been in car accidents in the past week. Fortunately, nobody’s been hurt too badly, but my friend Andrea just called from the doctor’s office to cancel our lunch plans for today because someone hit her car this morning on the driver’s side. Aaagh.
Okay, because my U.S. geography isn’t the best these days, I just took another look at the Texas state map. It didn’t make me feel any better. Now I’m even more worried.
My friend Wendy is stuck in Houston…they couldn’t evacuate because of the horrible traffic. So she and her husband are sticking it out at her in-laws’ house. I had a good cry tonight. And you’d think I’d be so happy after passing my exam earlier today…well, I am happy about that. And it’s not that I am unhappy…it wasn’t necessarily an unhappy cry, if that makes any sense. I’m just feeling really restless. Like I’m not settled…like I need to do something...
I passed my certification exam this afternoon so I’m now officially a PMP! (And no, it’s not pronounced “pimp.”) The exam was harder than I expected. But I’m so glad it’s over. I actually scored better on the real exam than I did on the practice exams…I can’t explain that. Yay for me!
