So I was just looking at a fairly recent picture and laughing at me and my girlfriends. In the photo below, you’ll see four of us (we missed Jennifer!) striking the red carpet pose: one leg in front of the other, body angled slightly away from the camera. I even threw in a cute head tilt to boot. You know what? The pose works! It really does equal an instant ten-pound weight loss.

Which I need right now, considering how bad I’ve been doing with my weight loss goals lately. I swear, the Zone definitely still works…when I freaking stick to it. I know, it’s all my fault that I’m probably going to be mistaken for a beached whale while strolling the beaches of Maui in two weeks, but I’m not going to beat myself up over it because that will only make me want to stick my face in a pint of Ben and Jerry’s even more than I already do.

I really think I’ve done about all the planning I can do, and now it’s time to just relax and make sure I don’t forget to pack anything. I have a few to-dos left, like finding some power adaptors that won’t fry my electronics while I’m in Asia. I also need to figure out if I’m going to try to get Chinese money before I go or just wait until I’m there. Planning for the trip to Asia has been way more work than planning the Maui trip, but I guess that’s to be expected. First of all, it’s on a totally different continent, and secondly, I’ll be hanging out with Wendy which means non-stop action. We’re even going to squeeze in a sidetrip to Hong Kong for a few days. I think my Maui vacay will be very relaxing, which I’m really, really looking forward to. I’m glad the beach comes after the city!
Okay…it’s time to eat my Zone lunch. I still have a little time to try to work off a few pounds. I’m going to have to avoid too much white rice in Asia or I’ll be really bloated in Maui. Ugh!
