yawn…

I got four hours of sleep last night.

I have been sooooo busy at work. And then I come home and work some more.

I’m tired.

But tomorrow I leave for Jamaica!

Guy wouldn’t be happy with me if he knew I was “on the computer” instead of packing.
:P <-- me sticking my tongue out for Guy to see when he reads this

So tonight was a frustrating night...I think I'm losing my mind.

I left work and rushed to the fabulous nails place to get a pedicure because I wanted to have pretty toes on the beach. They were absolutely packed! So it took forever. Besides the fact that they were busy, I had a lady working on my toes who loved to take her time…she would pause as she massaged my legs to gossip in Vietnamese, stop mid-stroke while painting my toenails to cackle at something funny…it drove me nuts because I was in a hurry. Once I finally got out of there I only had about 30 minutes to get to Old Navy to stock up on last-minute beachwear. I’m so glad I went though…I got a lot of clothes for super, super cheap! It was awesome…I felt like such a bargain shopper because everything was on sale. I’m talking cute little sundresses for ten bucks each. Ten bucks!!

Anyway, my final stop for the night was my storage space so I could pick up my large suitcase and pack it tonight. After tearing my way through the Old Navy dressing room and doing the watch check every 30 seconds while in line to check out, I zipped down the highway as it began to rain so I could make it to the storage space before the gates locked at 9 p.m. By my watch, I had about seven minutes to make it…not a lot of time. It was really, really close, and as I neared the storage units, I saw brake lights. On a small road where I have never, ever seen a traffic jam in the least.

And cop cars. Lots of ‘em.

Crap. Apparently someone had lost control in the rain and knocked over a pole. The entire road was shut down from both directions, and apparently the fallen pole was directly in front of the storage units.

Just my luck.

So this means I have to get up early and go to the storage space in the morning, then pack my bag and go pick up Guy. Aargh. I was hoping I could get all packed tonight and spend the night at his place since he’s closer to my parents by about 20 minutes. I’m going to leave my car at my parents’ house and my dad is dropping us off at the airport.

Oh…and guess what else? I have a prospective roommate coming to look at the place this weekend. I know, I’ll be out of town, but she lives in NY and is driving down with her boyfriend and two dogs to check out places to live before her relocation for work. I asked my petsitter to let her in to look around. The prospective roommate might meet me at the airport to say hi if they make it into town in time. She seems really cool, and she contacted me less than 24 hours after I posted a very basic profile on Roommates.com. Having a roommate will really help me save some money, and having a cool one would be preferable. :P

fat baby

Aren’t I cute? I don’t know how old I am in that photo…maybe two or three? I was a chubby cutie, huh?

Anyway, I’ll take lots of photos in Jamaica…I can’t wait to sleep in!!!
