I’m so glad it’s Friday.

Then again, when am I not glad it’s Friday?

My audition today went okay, I think. It was strange, and I think I rushed part of it and maybe came off a bit fake. But the thing is, a lot of times I find that I’m not animated and energetic enough for commercials because I tend to treat everything like film acting. So maybe what seemed fake to me actually came off okay. Who knows. Acting is a strange profession, I will tell you that.

After my audition, I gave my friend Peter a call because his office is right next door to the casting director’s office. He was still there, but everyone else except for one of his coworkers had left for the day. I hadn’t seen him in forever, so it was wonderful to see him! I used to work with him at a small Web development company, and he’s such a neat guy. We gabbed for a bit and he told me that they were hiring someone like me. I have to say that the bring your dog to work policy is really attractive….

Anyway, it’s Valentine’s Day, isn’t it? Happy Valentine’s Day to you! I hope to have time to make a special post sometime on Saturday in honor of the holiday.

I think Guy and I are having a quiet day since we’re going to Vegas next weekend. We’re going to get manicures and pedicures, and we have dinner reservations at Nan. Then we’re going to head back to his place to make smores in the fireplace.
