the nicest hampton inn ever

A few minutes ago, I checked into the nicest Hampton Inn ever. I decided to get a room near the office tonight so I wouldn’t have to get up and do the traffic thing in the morning. The Hampton Inn was the only thing nearby with free high-speed and a reasonable rate. Goodness gracious! I have a HUGE room, a jacuzzi tub, and a full kitchen with very granite-like countertops and a bar with two barstools.

I would take photos, but I’m too tired. Maybe next week. Because I just cancelled the reservations I had for next week and moved them here. This room rocks, and it’s only around a hundred bucks a night! They also have a fitness center so I can finally start running again. I wanted to run tonight, but I couldn’t get to my running clothes at my place…and I have no idea where my running shoes are. They are probably hiding behind all the stuff in my closet. They are painting tomorrow, so I had to pack everything in my office up and there is stuff stuck in various nooks and crannies, including both bathtubs, so there isn’t stuff in the way of painting.

This weekend, I get to move even more stuff in preparation for the carpet to be laid. Yes! I can’t wait until that is done, and I can move the contents of the bedroom and office into their respective new homes. Since I have work to do at home this weekend, I think I’ll stay in a hotel in that part of town. Next week, though, I’m back here, for sure. Except for Wednesday night, since I have an early doctor’s appointment on Thursday morning near my place and traffic in that direction is a nightmare in the mornings. I’ll stay somewhere near my doctor’s office Wednesday night.

You know, there’s something to be said for living in hotels. You can stay wherever is most convenient for you.

Still, though, I can’t wait to get back into my place. I’m going to have a big fat party when I do!

Goodnight!
