…every weekend would have three days.

This weekend hasn’t been all that bad. There’s been a lot of hanging out and relaxing…just what I needed.

I did have kind of a weird night last night. When I finally went to bed, I started falling to sleep but kept starting a really violent disturbing dream. It was about this woman who was like a ninja or something, and everywhere she went someone was following her. People were out to get her, but she always managed to kill them. And for some reason, I was accompanying her or something. It was really disturbing and I kept waking up with those weird night terrors where you feel paralyzed and like you can’t breathe. It was so bad and frustrating that I called Guy around 2:45 a.m. and he talked me into getting out of bed and walking around a bit until I got my mind off the dream. I did finally get to sleep okay, thank goodness. Thank you, Guy, for taking my call in the wee hours of the night!

This morning, Guy picked me up and we went to brunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I had…sweet french toast!

It was delicious!

The rest of the day was pretty chill. We went to Starbucks and got caramel apple ciders. We sat in the back and played with my purse cam…it was hilarious! We were taking weird pictures of each other and we made a little movie, totally forgetting for the most part that there were other customers in the store. No, it wasn’t that kind of movie! We were just being really, really silly and laughing uncontrollably.

I picked up the elfa shelves I ordered at The Container Store yesterday. That place rocks! I had always thought that elfa stuff looked complicated, but it is actually really easy to install. Of course, today Guy helped me confirm that the washer and dryer connections are right in the place where one of the supports needs to hang, but I’m hoping we can work around it. I’m going to make much better use of the vertical space in my teeny laundry room. Yes!

I also met a guy at my place who does handyman work and remodeling. He actually lives in my condo complex and has done work for some of my neighbors. He’s going to move some of my light switches around before the contractors paint the walls, and then I’m going to have him do more work in my place…add a recessed light in my entryway and put most of my lights on dimmers. Eventually I’d like to get some bids on redoing one of my bathrooms and opening up my teeny kitchen. I really need to figure out how long I want to live there, but that’s so hard to think about right now. Jason and I will continue to own the place together, but I can pretty much live there as long as I want until we decide to sell it. I’d love to move to a place where I don’t have neighbors above me, but something tells me I’m really going to like the place after all the repairs are done and I’ve spruced up the place a bit. We’ll see. The 5/1 ARM mortgage doesn’t expire until February 2005, so I have a few months before I really need to decide whether I want to refinance and get a fixed-rate mortgage payment (which I would do if I want to stay) or get the place ready to sell.

Tonight, I’ve been sitting on the couch at the Doubletree and multitasking. I rarely watch TV, so I watched a bunch of shows on The WB and the Golden Globe Awards while I worked on my computer. So I totally have a crush on Sting (he looked HOT tonight) and Scarlett Johansson. She was wonderfully likable in Lost in Translation, and she looked radiant tonight.

little Sabrina!

Well, I suppose I should hop in the shower and pack up my stuff. Tomorrow I check out of the Doubletree and move to the Hilton Garden Inn. I’ll be staying there the day of my Lasik surgery…Tuesday’s the big day! There’s a microwave in the room and free high-speed Internet there, so I should be comfy. (I’m not supposed to work on the computer the day of surgery, so I don’t know what I’m going to do all day since my surgery is at 9:40 a.m.!)

Tomorrow, it’s back to work. Hopefully it will be a productive yet peaceful day…the kind of day that will make it easy to be out all day on Tuesday.

We’ll see!
